CLEANING OF INFITECH ITP22 SILENCERS

Cleaning of ITP22 is recommended at regular intervals, depending on ammunition type after 500 - 1000 rounds.

NOTE! If Solvent is to be used, use ONLY solvent approved for aluminum. Read on the product. RISK OF DAMAGE!!!

To disassemble and assemble the ITP22, we recommend using Infitech tools that fit into the holes on the silencer. If other tools are used, damage to the finish and/or aluminum may occur. Please note that damage to the silencer threads due to improper handling is not covered by warranty. Take special care with the threads during disassembly and assembly!

Proceed as follows:

  1. Allow the silencer to cool to room temperature if it is recently used
  2. Unscrew the caps counter-clockwise using the holes provided on each side of the silencer. Infitech's special tool is recommended for this
  3. Dissolve the deposits on all parts by using a suitable solvent (kerosene, solvent, etc.). Let the solvent work for a few minutes
  4. Scrape the deposits from the parts using a plastic or wooden scraper. NOTE! Metal damages the finish and causes scratches
  5. Wipe the parts clean with a soft cloth/cloth, and then lubricate all threads with a heat-resistant grease. We recommend Loctite LB8023
  6. Assemble the parts and screw on the caps by hand at first. Be careful to make sure that the caps take the right thread. A damaged thread will cause the silencer to lose its function
  7. Tighten both caps firmly, once they bottom out in the thread, marginal additional tightening is needed. We strongly recommend using Infitech's special tools for these steps to avoid damage to threads and finish
  8. Clean the thread on the weapon.
  9. Screw the silencer back onto the gun
