    6° that makes a difference
All GRS pistons have a relatively straight grip with an ergonomic design that GRS has become known for. An important detail is that the grip is angled 6° outwards from the centerline of the barrel. This corresponds to the angle of the hand when pointing with the index finger, which provides a more neutral and relaxed shooting position suitable for both hunting and shooting.

    *Bedding
Bedding the system in the box means adjusting the rifle's stock so that the system/box always rests against the stock in the right places. This is so that the recoil can be transferred to the piston in exactly the same way in every shot regardless of external circumstances or if the weapon has become hot. Bedding a piston can be done by a gunsmith and it almost always gives precision advantages.
GRS composite pistons and chassis do not usually require bedding, but some guns such as the CG1900 (which has been hand polished to a greater extent) may still need it. Laminate pistons should always be bedded to avoid cracking.
