The Sako 100 is a truly premium firearm and is the absolute pinnacle of the Sako product hierarchy in the hunting segment. It is the result of a century of constant development. The Sako 100 comes in two distinctly different forms: the classic Sako 100 Explorer Wood, with walnut stock and classic barrel, and the more modern Sako 100 Explorer Carbon with carbon fiber stock and fluted barrel, technically the two models are identical. The bouncer is designed for the versatile and varied hunter, and has a spring-loaded adjustable piston comb, which makes it easy to adjust the weapon when changing barrels with different types / sizes of optics mounted on the barrels. At the bottom of the piston there is a small hatch where there is a space for smaller tools such as the tool for adjusting the trigger weight, as well as access to the screw that holds the piston in place. The optics are mounted on a rail on the barrel so when changing barrels / calibers you do not have to push the weapon in again. Sako's existing Optilock rings are screwed into the rail and you can thus easily get the height of the mounting needed depending on the size of the optics. The barrel and mechanism have a black Cerakote Elite coating which gives a beautiful luster and extremely good protection against the elements. The bolt has a cocking key, is coated with a DLC coating. (Diamond Like Coating) and has an ejector in the breechblock head to ensure safe ejection of empty shells. The trigger weight is adjustable in six different positions, from 750 grams to 1750 grams. This is easily done without any disassembly and the selected position is indicated by an indicator from 1-6 on the front edge of the trigger guard. The cross magazine is made of steel and can be loaded in place in the weapon. Sako 100 is delivered in an exclusive case where there is also a torque wrench adapted for the barrel change.
