Springfield Kuna with an 18" barrel (45 cm). Approved for a hunting license (Class 3)*
A high-performance firearm with professional-grade build quality and components. The Kuna uses a roller-delayed blowback mechanism that provides smooth recoil, reliable operation, and is effective when paired with a silencer.
The Kuna is essentially a professional-grade firearm but is also available in a semi-automatic version for the civilian market. A lightweight and agile firearm with confidence-inspiring performance. The upper receiver features a monolithic design where the handguard and Picatinny rail form a single piece. The free-floating barrel runs inside the handguard and is secured to a steel block. The Kuna is approved for firing over-pressure ammunition (+P), and the barrel is cold-hammered for improved durability and accuracy.
The model features a modern design with fully ambidextrous controls whose placement is comparable to that of an AR-15. The operating lever is located at the front on the side and is reversible (right/left). The upper and lower receivers are connected like an AR-15 with two pins.
* The 9 mm x 19 caliber is NOT affected by the new Swedish firearms law(Section 11), which prohibits “military magazines” in semi-automatic firearms with a caliber greater than 9 mm.
The reloading system plays a central role in the Kuna’s performance and low recoil. A roller-delayed blowback system can be described as a delayed recoil system that, unlike direct blowback, does not require a heavy breech block for reliable reloading. Less mass in the moving parts results in improved accuracy with less recoil and muzzle rise. The Kuna’s version of the system features an ingenious design in which a roller on the breech locks into the upper part of the magazine.

Article no.: SPR-129243
Kuna’s roller-delayed blowback system makes it ideal for use with suppressors. Compared to a direct blowback system, the breech remains closed at the moment of firing, which reduces the amount of propellant gases escaping backward. The sound is suppressed more effectively, and it’s possible to use suppressors without flow technology. The barrel is threaded 1/2"×28.
The 9 mm caliber is one of the most popular and widely used types of ammunition in the world, in both civilian and military contexts. In sport shooting, it is used in both pistols and carbines.
The 9 mm offers a good balance between recoil, velocity, and penetration. It typically has a muzzle velocity of between 300 and 400 m/s, depending on the type of ammunition.
M-Lok® compatibility allows you to customize your rifle to your specific needs.
The AR grip on the Kuna features the familiar adaptive grip texture and storage compartments.
Flat Trigger made of aluminum. Improves accuracy and speed by providing a more consistent finger placement and trigger pull.
