STEYR AUG A3 SA (semi-automatic) is the civilian version of the iconic STEYR AUG. This model is equipped with a 16" barrel length and a picatinny rail for mounting optics.
The AUG is based on a gas-charging system via a short stroke gun and is developed to deliver high precision and high reliability even under demanding conditions. Thanks to the bullpup design, a short overall length is maintained despite a relatively long barrel.

The name "Armee Universal Gewehr" (AUG) comes from the development in the 1970s when STEYR developed the weapon for the Austrian Army. At the time of its launch, it was one of the most modern weapons on the market, particularly known for its bullpup design and the possibility of quick barrel changes. The model is still in active service today but has been continuously updated to meet modern requirements.
