With the Thermion 2 LRF XG60 Pulsar starts a whole new era in thermal optics as these sights completely redefine the concept around which the previous Thermion thermal sights were designed. There are several areas where these new Thermion 2 sights, with 60 mm lens, differ from the old ones.

• First series where the front lens is now 60 mm compared to the previous 50 mm that was the flagship. This gives a much sharper thermal image that is even more detailed and sensitive.
• A brand new eyepiece which is larger and provides a much larger wide angle, eye relief and eyebox. Very generous with the head placement and easier to get a more accurate facility when mounted on Blaser, Sauer, Merkel etc.
• Changed display format. Instead of the previous rectangular format that the displays had, the new displays have a concave image which means that the sight picture is much wider. An absolutely superb and unique image feeling.
• More than double the display resolution compared to the previous XP50 versions, giving an exceptionally sharp image and enabling even greater zoom-in.
• Expanded memory capacity from 16 GB to 64 GB.

The fact that the rangefinder is built into the Pulsar Thermion 2 LRF XG60 means that measurements are made with the highest possible security. If you use the sight where the rangefinder is not molded into the sight, it will lose the ability to make accurate measurements. In Pulsar's case, these risks are completely eliminated.

Pulsar Thermion 2 LRF XG60 is equipped with one of the world's best types of heat sensors. The NETD value (heat resolution in millikelvin) of only 40 mK on the heat sensor combined with the innovative equalization filter function is what makes Pulsar's heat sights usually have a much clearer, more contrasty and detailed heat image than their competitors whose sensor is at significantly lower levels. A lower NETD value means that the heat image becomes much more diffuse, dull and poor in contrast. The lower the NETD value, the finer the thermal image you can expect. The sensor is not cooled.
